TRADITIONAL CHINESE WELLNESS & WELLBEING

CHINESE ACUPUNCTURE
1. CHINESE ACUPUNCTURE
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice of penetrating the skin with thin needles, stimulates the power of Life, Qi!
Through the impact it has on the body channels, acupuncture balances and realigns the core of existence with the ability for self-treatment. It awakens the healing power that lays within and affects the overall body while considering the inner will for health.
Acupuncture can be applied to anyone, either as an alternative way of treating a disease/symptom, or clearly as a way to prevent imbalances that might be harmful for one’s health. In any case, acupuncture seeks to restore the flow of energy throughout your body so that you experience the good mental and physical health you need in your life.
Acupuncture sessions aim to treat headaches and/or to remove/relief from pains (backaches, pains at the nape of the neck), respiratory diseases, digestive disorders or stomachaches, gynecological issues (menopause, increased vaginal discharge, endometriosis, polycystic ovaries, infertility, swellings), childbirth, postpartum period, sleep disorders, anxiety and phobia disorders, smoking cessation or for other aesthetic reasons.
- Acupuncture can be applied from the very early age (childhood). In that case, the size of the needles used differs and the time that they remain inserted is adjusted too.
- At Life Enlightening Project, we apply the treatment of acupuncture with consciousness during the process and with respect for the patient.

CUPPING: THERAPY & DETOX WORKS
With cupping, one of the basic techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one achieves smooth blood circulation and restores a healthy flow of vital energy (QI).
A cup – heated or not – is applied to pull an area of skin into a suction that decompresses muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow to the compromised area, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body’s own healing processes.
The Cupping therapy relieves the body from “cold”, eliminates toxins in the tissues and revitalizes them, stimulates metabolism, boosts the immune system, reduces musculoskeletal pains, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, digestive issues.
Considering how much the patient allows health into his life, he can respectively enjoy the benefits of cupping holistically in mind, body and spirit.

THERMO-HERBAL THERAPY: MOXA DOES IT
Since ancients times, thermo-herbal therapy with moxa leaf (Artemisia Vulgaris) has a dominant place in traditional Chinese medicine with deep, unquestionable results.
It is recommended when there is stagnation of cold or dampness within the body (in acidity or/and chronically) as well as in cases when energy is drained (weakened immune system, stiff neck, muscle or back pain due to cold, water retention, cold, infertility, low libido, menstrual disorders etc.)
The placement of burning moxa on multiple parts of the body, increases blood flow and releases the tissues. The smoke of the leaf, enters deep in the tissues and eliminates stagnation of cold and moisture, restoring health.
- The regular application of Moxa treatment in specific acupoints boosts the immune system and promotes good health and longevity.
- At Life Enlightening Project, we have an expertise in our treatments, achieved a level of excellence in their application and we practise them responsibly.

CHINESE HERBAL THERAPY
Chinese herbal therapy is a therapeutic practice based on the Wisdom of Nature that includes the kingdom of plants-herbs and is widely accepted as particularly effective. It has come a long way since it was first introduced, 2.500 years ago, and this connection to the past is a confirmation that the seed of knowledge has been carried all the way through.
The perception one has around the power of herbs (power in terms of taste, thermal nature, the impact they have on the inner body, the organs they effect and finally their therapeutic possibilities) plays a vital role on the outcome of their usage.
What will be of great extra help while receiving herbal therapy:
Your understanding around herbs through parameters such as Intuition, Respect and Observation contributes positively to the effectiveness of the therapy.
Intuition: The use of herbs as therapeutic tools was not initiated by human beings. Other animal species have used them before, for their survival. If one realizes the importance of that truth, he needs to look deep into other forms of energy that lay within us, such as intuition and instinct, and connect us with nature.
Respect: Herbs are not meant to serve our therapeutic needs. Their existence has a meaning itself. It’s only when we develop an understanding around the reasons why they exist and treat them with respect and lowliness that they will return to us their precious therapeutic powers.
Observation: In order for one to trust Herbal therapy, he needs to be able to trust his own intuition first, respect the existence of herbs, observe and consider the behaviors they develop in order to survive.
Greek Herbal therapy is equally effective as the Chinese and has lately began attracting the attention of more and more patients. At Life Enlightening Project, having gained deep knowledge and experience on herbs used in both therapies, we propose a custom treatment to each patient considering his own special needs and unique characteristics.
